PURPOSE: A device and method for transmitting a signal are provided to halve a sampling rate using one of a positive frequency signal or a negative frequency signal. CONSTITUTION: A signal distributor(100) distributes base band signals corresponding to a plurality of frequency bands. A frequency converter(200) converts the distributed base band signals into one of a positive frequency signal or a negative frequency signal according to a frequency band. A frequency synthesizer(300) synthesizes the positive frequency signal with the negative frequency signal. The positive frequency signal and the negative frequency signal belong to one preset intermediate frequency band.
