METHOD FOR DETERMINING SORPTION ABILITY OF ORTHOPEDIC MATERIALS FOR BACTERIA

A method for determining the sorption ability of the orthopedic materials for the bacteria provides for dipping the sample plate 0.5-1 cmin area to 1-1.5 mL of the oral fluid at the temperature of (+35)-(+39) °C for 30-90 minutes. Then the plate is washed 2-3 times with water and placed to the solution of cetavlon aqueous-ethanol mixture. In 15-20 minutes, 0.02 mL of the mixture is sampled onto the glass slide and stained with eosin-methylene blue according to May-Grunwald. The bacteria are counted under the microscope with the aid of the standard ocular grid.
