In apparatus for bending glass sheets, comprising a mould formed by a centre section and pivotally attached end sections, shaping surfaces formed by the upper edges of rails secured to the mould sections, and a heat-absorbing member between the rails, the heat-absorbing member is so connected to the rails that, on opening the mould, it will move downwardly away from the shaping surfaces and will be restored to operative position when the mould is closed. The apparatus is the same as that described in Specification 1,019,964. |
