[Also in Division D1] In a liquid level measuring device for use with washing machines, clear water is supplied from a pipe 2 through a magnetically operated valve 3 and a feed pipe 4, provided with a detergent or rinsing agent container 5, to the machine 1. and also through a pipe 8, forming part of a resin 7, to a pipe 10 connected to the bottom of the machine 1. The pipe 8 is connected by a number of upwardly inclined tubes 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15, each containing an electrode 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, to a common vent pipe 21. The electrodes are connected to control apparatus to prevent the machine running dry, determining the level of the wetting liquid, the liquid washing level, the liquid rinsing level and for preventing overflow. |
