The shelf (T) has a front face (FVT) directed towards a rear face (FRD) of a backrest (DS) of a seat (SI) of a vehicle when the shelf is in folded position. A housing (L1) receives and fixes a removable electronic equipment (CN) e.g. PlayStation Portable (PSP) (RTM: handheld console), having a preset format in storage position. The housing permits the electronic equipment to be invisible when the shelf is in folded position. The housing includes a peripheral recess to facilitate insertion and extraction of the electronic equipment into and from the housing.
