The circuit (IC2) has a memory (MEM2) e.g. electrically EPROM, that is electrically erasable and/or programmable using voltages (HV, Vpp) greater than power supply voltage (Vdd). A receiving unit receives the voltage by a supply voltage receiving terminal (P1) or by receiving or emitting terminals (P2, P3) for data/clock signals (S1, S2). The receiving unit is formed by voltage step-up circuit (LSCT), comparator (CMP) and timer-sequencer circuit (TSCT). A control circuit (CCT2) executes memory programming and/or erasing controls. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an electronic system comprising an integrated circuit with memory (2) a method for writing data in the integrated circuit.
