PURPOSE: A system and a method for detecting roads and objects are provided to sense the distance of a road or the distance between obstacles by the naked eye through photographed road images. CONSTITUTION: A system for detecting roads and objects comprises a light irradiation unit(110), a photographing unit(120), a control unit(140) and a print unit(160). The light irradiation unit irradiates the light to a road to be traveled. The photographing unit photographs the road where the light source is irradiated. The control unit senses the state of the road from the photographed image. The output unit transfers the status information to an operator.
