PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain in a timely fashion information regarding human moving direction, in an optionally set region. SOLUTION: In a device 1 for estimating moving direction, a moving direction generating section 14 extracts position information, belonging to an optionally settable mesh and generates vector data for each user, based on the extracted position information, and a moving direction counting section 15 generates moving direction information, by having vector data composited, so that the moving direction of human in the optionally set region can be estimated. Furthermore, the moving direction information is generated based on the position information sequentially collected in accompaniment of the movement of the mobile terminal, so that timely estimation of the moving direction of human becomes possible.
