PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane immersion tank and membrane treatment apparatus where an immersion-type membrane unit can be easily installed in a proper position, so that workability can be easily improved. SOLUTION: The membrane immersion tank 3A for housing one or more immersion-type membrane units 5 for membrane filtration of raw water includes a tank body 31 for storing the raw water, a pedestal part 35b provided at the bottom of the tank body 31 and supporting the membrane unit 5 by contacting with the lower end of the membrane unit 5, and a discharge part 35d for deposits F provided at the bottom of the tank body 31 and formed to avoid the pedestal part 35b. In the membrane immersion tank 3A, since the pedestal part 35b is clearly separated from the discharge part 35d for the deposits F, the workability can be improved when the membrane unit 5 is installed or reinstalled.
