PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that has a display panel of sufficient strength against an impact from a display surface side, has high contrast, and has a low cost. SOLUTION: The display device 1 includes a flat panel type display means 2 for performing display by light emission operation in space formed by facing glass substrates 210 and 220 to each other. A glass substrate 290 on the side for performing display, of the glass substrates, has a laminated glass structure where inorganic glass plates 220 and 240 are stuck to each other via an adhesive layer 230 of an organic polymer material.
