PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cassette device considering the stabilization of a position and an attitude of a placed feeding object medium. SOLUTION: This cassette device (14) can be attached-detached to the body of a medium feeder. The cassette device includes a first edge guide 7 contacting with one side end in the width direction X of the placed feeding object medium (P), a second edge guide 8 contacting with the other side end, a displacement mechanism 9 for displacing at least one of the first edge guide 7 and the second edge guide 8 in the direction for separating from the side end of the feeding object medium (P), when feeding the feeding object medium placed by a feeding means of the body to the downstream side in the feeding direction, while installing the cassette device in the body part, and a regulating means 25 for regulating displacement operation in the displacement mechanism 9 when removing the cassette device from the body and releasing the regulation of the displacement operation when installing the cassette device in the body.
