The vehicle has an internal combustion engine (2) that is connected to a transmission unit (4) by a transmission input (3), where the transmission unit is connected to a drive shaft (6) of the vehicle at a transmission output (5). An electrical machine (7) i.e. electrical motor, provides power to a drive train (1) at the transmission input. Another combustion engine (11) is connected to another electrical machine (12) i.e. generator, that supplies electrical energy for the former machine. An electrical energy storage unit (13) is electrically connected to the electrical machines.
