1,133,767. Releasable fastenings. SOTKAOY. 5 Nov., 1965, No. 47112/65. Heading E2A. A reversible window sash 3 is provided with a locking handle 7 which operates in known manner, locking rods 5 when the sash is in the closed position and has two operable axial positions, in the first of which a projection 13 on the shank 11 engages in a semicircular groove 15 and rotation of the shank in this groove limits the movement of the rod 5 in the unlocked position so that on rotation of the sash a projection 9 on the rod abuts a stop 10 in the form of an enlarged tooth on the notched plate 4 secured on the inner face of the main frame, the rod 5 being reversed in movement i.e. towards the locking position, until the projection 9 engages a notch between the teeth 8 depending upon the open position of the window. -The handle 7 can be withdrawn to its second axial position against the spring 12 until the projection 13 leaves the slot 15 when the handle can be turned to move the projection 9 so that its path on rotation of the sash is free from the stop 10, and the window can then be turned through 180‹. |
