The apparatus has a playing field formed on a base plate and comprising two goals arranged opposite to each other. Game pieces are embedded in the base plate and form a visually homogeneous group to represent two opposite teams. Light sources i.e. mono- or bimodal LEDs, of the game pieces are connected with a power supply by a switching device. The light sources are aligned such that the each of the activated light sources visually marks the associated game pieces, where the game pieces are uniformly markable by light rays from its light sources.
