PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a furan derivative having good charge transfer property, enabling Diels-Alder reaction and giving a material for various organic devices. SOLUTION: The furan derivative is expressed by formula (1). The compound has reactivity as well as charge transfer function, and forms a thermoplastic resin or crosslinked and cured resin exhibiting a charge transfer function by Diels-Alder reaction.
