PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a work by an NC machine tool, in which an origin on a coordinate set by a program can be easily selected and specified. SOLUTION: In the method, before the work is formed by the NC machine tool, two points are selected on a surface of the work to be formed. Four points are selected which are located at a central position of the two points or on the surface of the work and on the same plane. Numerical information in which a position of an intersection of diagonal lines for connecting the two points which are not adjacent to each other in an arrangement relation may be set as the origin of the coordinate previously set by the program is inputted to a computer related to an operation of the program.
