摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium oxide thin film which is inexpensive, and has a high refractive index and exhibits a low light absorption at a temperature lower than 100°C. SOLUTION: The invention is a method for manufacturing a high-refractive index material which contains, as a main component, titanium oxide having a refractive index at a wavelength of 633 nm of light of≥1.90 and an extinction coefficient at a wavelength of 350 nm of light of≤0.05. The method at least comprises a reaction step of mixing and reacting titanium alkoxide, an organic solvent, a hydrazine derivative salt and water, a film forming step of feeding the solution obtained by the reaction step to a substrate to form a film, and a heating step of heating the film at a temperature of≥60°C but <100°C after the film forming step.
