PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transport aldehydes in a gas shape without forming tar-shaped product. SOLUTION: When transporting the aldehydes in the gas shape, represented by formula (1) (wherein, R is hydrogen or 1-2C hydrocarbon) through, for example, SUS piping 2, the temperature of the aldehydes under the transportation is maintained at a temperature of at least 180°C, preferably within the range of 200-250°C by heating the SUS piping 2 with an electric furnace 3 or the like.
