PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic enabling a desired color or gradation pattern to be regulated by only changing a method or strength of coating of the cosmetic on the skin. SOLUTION: The time required for the corruption of the pigment-encapsulating double-layered microcapsule on the skin can be retarded by combining three or more kinds of materials having different hardnesse and solubility in water, such as (a) mannitol, (b) hydrogenated lecithin, (c) poly(methyl methacrylate), (d) cellulose and (e) shellac, and the desired color and gradation pattern can be adjusted by changing the method and the strength of the coating of the cosmetic on the skin.
