PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel shutoff valve which surely prevents the leakage of fuel, even when fuel rapidly penetrates into a housing, without increasing the thickness of a float. SOLUTION: This fuel shutoff valve is provided in a fuel tank and communicates the inside of the fuel tank with a canister. The fuel shutoff valve includes the housing and the float vertically movably provided in the housing. The housing includes an opening communicated with the canister. The float includes a valve member opening/closing the opening on the upper side. The float includes an air space having an opened lower side inside and a through-hole communicating the inside of the hosing with the air space on the upper side.
