PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher capable of more efficiently washing objects to be washed by opening only a jet hole highly contributing to washing of the objects to be washed placed in a dish basket, and capable of reducing noise caused by collision of washing water with a wall surface of a washing tub. SOLUTION: The dishwasher includes, within the washing tub 7 provided within a casing in such a way as can be freely drawn out, an upper dish basket 16 and a lower dish basket 14 in which objects to be washed are placed, and a fixed washing nozzle 10 and a rotary washing nozzle 9 for jetting washing water to the objects to be washed. The upper dish basket 16 is movably mounted, and a plurality of jet holes 19 in the fixed washing nozzle 10 are opened/closed according to the position of the upper dish basket 16. Since only the jet hole 19 highly contributing to washing of the objects to be washed placed in the dish basket is opened for washing, the objects to be washed can be more efficiently washed, and the noise caused by the collision of the washing water with the wall surface of the washing tub 7 can be reduced.
