PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-productivity method for obtaining a suspension of a wide-range water-insoluble compound having biological applications. SOLUTION: The suspension is obtained by the following process: a microparticulate suspension of a water-insoluble compound, particularly of submicron particles of a drug, is stabilized with a surface modifier molecules; simultaneously, from a compressed solution of the compound and the surface modifier prepared by dissolving them in a liquefied gas, they are rapidly put to expansion injection into an aqueous medium to obtain the suspension.
