<p>Methods and apparatus for obtaining and executing application programs for use on a cloud-based computing device are disclosed. An example method includes receiving, by a computing device, a request to obtain an application for execution on the computing device. The example method further includes sending, from the computing device to a first server, the request to obtain the application. The example method also includes receiving, by the computing device from the first server, the application. The example method still further includes sending, by the computing device to one or more cloud-based sources, a request for a plurality of metrics associated with the application and receiving, by the computing device from the one or more cloud-based sources, the plurality of metrics. The example method yet further includes determining, by the computing device, whether to execute the application based on the plurality of metrics.</p> |
