<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device which can maintain high sealing performance in no loading of fluid pressure or just after start of loading, and further can reduce sliding resistance while maintaining this sealing performance in operation in which fluid pressure is regularly loaded. <P>SOLUTION: The sealing device 1 is to be installed in an annular groove 31 formed in one member of a housing having a shaft hole and a shaft inserted to the shaft hole to slide and move relatively to the housing to seal an annular gap 40 between the both from fluid. The sealing device includes: a seal ring section 11 having a sliding surface which slides with a counter sliding part 20 and seals the annular gap 40 in loading of fluid pressure; and a seal section 12 which seals the seal ring section 11 and the annular groove 21 in no loading of fluid pressure. The seal section 12 is provided to be deformable, in the loading of fluid pressure, in a direction of releasing the sealed state between the seal ring section 11 and the annular groove 31 by the fluid pressure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
