<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible thermochromic oil ink composition for ballpoint pen which does not cause ink separation or precipitation of pigment due to long lapse of time even when a microcapsule pigment including a reversible thermochromic composition is used as the colorant, for an oil ink composition applied for a ballpoint pen, hardly dries a pen point even when the cap is detached and is excellent in aging stability and dry-up resistance, and to provide the ballpoint pen incorporating the reversible thermochromic oil ink composition for ballpoint pen. <P>SOLUTION: The reversible thermochromic oil ink composition for ballpoint pen comprises: a reversible thermochromic microcapsule pigment including a reversible thermochromic composition composed of an electron-donating color-developing organic compound (a), an electron-accepting compound (b) and a reaction medium (c) of determining the temperature of causing the color-developing reaction of both (a) and (b); a liquid medium selected from polybutene, fluid paraffin, fluid isoparaffin, ethylene-α-olefine oligomer, α-olefinic oil and refined mineral oil; and a fatty acid amide.
