<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a vehicle headlight device with a slanted-shape translucent cover. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle headlight device includes a lamp body, a translucent cover 214 with a slanted part 214a, and a lamp tool unit 10. A semiconductor light emitting device 12 is loaded on a light source loading face 14a so that an irradiation axis X is to cross a light axis O1, and a reflector 16 includes a reflecting surface 16a with one end positioned further toward a rear side of the vehicle than the semiconductor light emitting device 12, and with the other end protruded further toward a front side of the vehicle than a vehicle front side end 14b of a light source loading part 14. A protrusion 16a3 protruded further toward the vehicle front side than the vehicle side end 14b out of the reflected face 16a is formed so as to be opposed the slanted part 214a, and, the reflecting surface 16a is so structured that a first area forms a horizontal cutoff line of a low-beam light distribution pattern, a second area forms a slant cutoff line of the low-beam light distribution pattern, and a third area forms a diffusion part of the low-beam light distribution pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
