<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit information to a desired pedestrian by an inexpensive constitution. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicular headlight device 100 has a light source, and includes: a headlight unit 210 capable of emitting visible light in a vehicular traveling direction; a signal transmitting part 104 for transmitting a signal to a mobile device with a light reception section carried by the pedestrian by using the visible light emitted from the headlight unit 210. The signal transmitted by the signal transmitting part 104 may include information for informing the existence of an own vehicle. Furthermore, the vehicular headlight device 100 includes: a signal reception part 106 for receiving a pedestrian signal transmitted by the mobile device by receiving the signal from the signal transmitting part 104; and an emission control part 228 for controlling the formation of light distribution patterns by the headlight unit 210.
