<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having a thin display panel. <P>SOLUTION: A display device has a display panel (101) in which a plurality of fluorescent lamps are arranged, and a set top box (501) composed separately from the display panel and electrically connected to the display panel. The set top box has a tuner (111) selecting a television broadcast signal of a designated channel from among television broadcast signals received and outputting a video signal to the display panel, a power source (302) converting an alternate current voltage into a direct current voltage, and an inverter (102) inputting the direct current voltage converted by the power source and supplying the alternate current voltage to the fluorescent lamps of the display panel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
