<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent thermal damage of a synthetic resin intake manifold 5, due to high-temperature EGR gas. <P>SOLUTION: An EGR gas distribution pipe 13 having a multilayer EGR gas passage is provided in a place exposed to travelling wind introduced into the engine compartment 2 of an automobile (the uppermost portion of the intake manifold 5). A radiation performance from the outside surface (radiation surface) of the EGR gas distribution pipe 13 is thereby enhanced. The EGR gas passage is so formed that at least some of EGR distribution passages overlap with each other in a vehicle vertical direction. Accordingly, the length of the EGR gas passage is lengthened. Since EGR gas circulating inside of the EGR gas distribution pipe 13 is efficiently cooled by the travelling wind introduced into the engine compartment 2, the thermal damage to the synthetic resin intake manifold 5 is effectively prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
