PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordless steam iron which has a good balance at the time of pressing, good stability when placed vertically with the rear end of the iron at the bottom while ironing, and easily visible display such as an energization indicator. SOLUTION: The steam iron includes: an iron base 2; a vaporization base 6 superimposed and installed on the iron base; a heat insulation plate covering the vaporization base; a case to cover the upper part of the heat insulation plate; and a handle 8 provided at the upper part of the case and connected to the case. Pressing is carried out by gripping the handle 8 for operation. One place of the front end of the handle 8, and two places of the rear end are installed at a case 7 by a two-way arm 16.
