PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an effective use of limited storage areas by giving volume reduction treatment to radio, active waste inside an airtight box such as a glove box and molding it into pieces of a certain form. SOLUTION: A device includes a waste shredder 2 mounted in the glove box 1 and used to shred the radioactive waste; a receptacle 31 for holding an storage bag 5; a bag holder 3 comprising an LM guide placed, in order to support the receptacle 31 so that it can freely shuttle between the position p1, where shredded waste 4 is received and the position p2 where the shredded waste is compressed; a vacuum pump device 7, which receives the shredded waste from the waste shredder 2 at the position p1 where the shredded waste is received and decompresses the storage bag 5, by bleeding the air inside the filled storage bag 5, at the position p2 where the shredded waste is compressed, a compressor 6 which also compresses the storage bag with it included in the receptacle 31 in the position and the storage bag which is held by the receptacle 31 of the bag holder 3 to receive the shredded waste 4 and is used to store it, after filling it into the bag 5 and compressing it.
