A bidirectional guide unit (1) which enables a movable member (3) to be pulled out in two opposite directions from a stationary member (2) and which, irrespective of the direction from which the movable member (3) is returned to a contained position, enables the movable member (3) to be reliably pulled into the contained position. The bidirectional guide unit (1) is provided with: the stationary member (2); the movable member (3) contained in the stationary member (2) and capable of being pulled out of a contained stationary position in a first direction and a second direction opposite the first direction; and a first pull-in means (6a) engaged with the movable member (3), which is returned to the contained stationary position from the first direction, at a position near the contained stationary position to press the movable member (3) toward the contained stationary position, and disengaged from the movable member (3) when the movable member (3) passes through the contained stationary position and moves in the second direction. |
