The device for communication with a control device (2) for controlling a device, comprises a memory device (3), a wireless communication interface (4) for wireless writing and reading the memory device, a wired communication interface (5) for coupling the memory device with the control device, a reading-/writing device (6), which is arranged to control the wireless writing and reading the memory device over the wireless communication interface, and a communication connection for exchanging data between the reading-/writing device and the control device. The device for communication with a control device (2) for controlling a device, comprises a memory device (3), a wireless communication interface (4) for wireless writing and reading the memory device, a wired communication interface (5) for coupling the memory device with the control device, a reading-/writing device (6), which is arranged to control the wireless writing and reading the memory device over the wireless communication interface, and a communication connection for exchanging data between the reading-/writing device and the control device over the wireless communication interface, the storage device and the wire-connected communication interface. The memory device is writable and readable for formation of the communication connection and the control device over the wire-connected communication interface and also the reading-/writing device over the wireless communication interface. The communication connection is arranged to write program data and/or configuration data and/or parameterization data in the control device for the configuration and/or parameterization of the control device, or diagnostic data, measurement data and/or status data for reading the control device. The wireless communication interface is formed as a radio frequency identification interface and a near field communication interface.
