PURPOSE: A nucleic acid molecule which specifically cleaves TEL-AML1 chimeric mRNA is provided to develop candidate material which is effective in treating acute lymphocytic leukemia. CONSTITUTION: A nucleic acid molecule which specifically cleaves TEL-AML1 chimeric mRNA has a nucleic acid molecule of sequence number 2. The nucleic acid molecule prevents or treats acute lymphocytic leukemia. A composition for treating or preventing acute lymphocytic leukemia contains the nucleic acid molecule as an active ingredient.
