IMAGE WRITING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce density unevenness by a simple method in comparison with a case not performing setting based on distribution information in an image writing apparatus having a plurality of light emitting elements.

SOLUTION: The image writing apparatus (LHy) includes: writing members (1-3) having a plurality of light emitting elements and writing a latent image on an image support material (Py) surface; a distribution information acquisition means (C4C) obtaining distribution information to identify a light volume distribution (6) of the light emitting elements previously measured for each of the writing members (1-3); a correction information setting means (C4F) setting correction information (7) to equalize image density written in the writing members (1-3) based on the distribution information (6); and a writing control means (C6) operating the writing members (1-3) to control writing of the latent image based on the correction information (7) set by the correction information setting means (C4F).
