<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste water treatment method which make it possible to advance heterotrophic denitrification, autotrophic denitrification and the removal of chemical oxygen demand at the same time. <P>SOLUTION: The waste water treatment method which make it possible to advance heterotrophic denitrification, autotrophic denitrification and the removal of chemical oxygen demand at the same time is carried out by advancing the denitrification reaction, autotrophic denitrification reaction, a heterotrophic denitrification reaction and the removal of the chemical oxygen demand by the action of microorganisms while performing agitation in the same reaction tank. In the denitrification, ammonia nitrogen is oxidized to nitrite nitrogen by the action of denitrifying bacteria. In the autotrophic denitrification, nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen is formed by directly supplying electron from ammonia nitrogen to nitrite nitrogen by the action of autotrophic denitrification bacteria.
