PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire, satisfying both of low fuel consumption performance and crack growth resistant performance, and a pneumatic tire by using the same at each of the members (especially at a side wall) of the tire. SOLUTION: This rubber composition for the tire is provided by containing a crystalline rubber component and at least 1 kind selected from the group consisting of a sorbitol derivative, a saturated fatty acid and a benzoic acid metal salt.
