PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder increasing a loading quantity, while being configured to register a sheet by restraining the occurrence of the buckling of the sheet. SOLUTION: A document loading device 140 includes a document loading tray 120 for loading a document, document width regulating members 122a and 122b and a document rear end regulating member for registering the edge of the document by contacting-separating to the edge of the document on the document loading tray. The document width regulating members 122a and 122b and the document rear end regulating member are opposed to an upper document small in the interposing pressure of the mutual documents by dead weight among the documents roughly loaded on the document loading tray, and the edge of the document can be registered. Thus, the document loading device can register an irregular document roughly loaded on the document loading tray while being pushed in between the documents by small pushing-in force, reducing the occurrence of buckling in the document.
