摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a pin for a power transmission chain shortening a grinding time by reducing tool setting man-hours. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the pin for the power transmission chain includes a guide face grinding step of continuously forming first guide faces L1, L2 at one of both ends of the pin 14 for easy press-in and second guide faces U1, U2 at the other end of the pin 14 for easy press-in. The guide face grinding step uses a first grinding wheel 32 for grinding the first guide faces and a second grinding wheel 32 for grinding the second guide faces at the same time. First, a non-ground pin 14A is held with a pin axial direction perpendicular to a line connecting the rotational axes of the first and second grinding wheels to each other, and the first guide faces are ground at both ends at the same time. A first guide face ground pin 14B is moved, as it is, to the side of the second grinding wheel.
