PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized voltage-controlled oscillator capable of obtaining low-phase noise characteristics over the frequency adjustment width. SOLUTION: Crystal having characteristics (dielectric loss tangent: tanδ) better than that of fluororesin, LTCC or the like used conventionally as a substrate of a resonance part 1 and on which a fine metal film pattern can be formed by a photolithographic method is used as a crystal substrate 10, and a conductive line is formed on the crystal substrate 10 to form an inductance element 11 in the resonance part 1. Since the resonance part 1 of a high Q-value can be constituted, a small-sized voltage-controlled oscillator having low loss over a wide frequency band can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
