PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To search for music matching a user's desire without performing complicated operation. SOLUTION: A music search and playback device 1 includes: an impression word storage means 32 wherein a plurality of impression words are ranked by numerical values and are stored; an impression data storage means 33 wherein impression words relating to each of a plurality of musical pieces are stored in association with an identifier corresponding to the music; a control means 20 which stores a prescribed impression word as a playback impression word; a playback tune selection means 23 which acquires one identifier corresponding to the stored playback impression word, from the impression data storage means 33 in accordance with a music playback selection indication of the control means 20 and reads out music related to the one identifier from a music storage means 31; and an input means 10 which makes a user select a command to change the impression word stored as a playback impression word.
