PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel assuring a high reliability despite a high definition display and suppressing an energy consumption during production with consideration for environmental issues. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel includes a front plate including a display electrode and a dielectric layer formed on a glass substrate and a rear plate including an electrode, a barrier rib, and a phosphor layer formed on a glass substrate, the front plate and the rear plate being arranged opposite to each other and with their circumference sealed to form a discharge space, wherein the display electrode is formed in an exposure/development process using a photosensitive material. A film thickness in the center is larger than the film thickness at its end in a cross section of the display electrode in a short side direction, and the dielectric layer is formed through package coating, drying, and burning processes.
