PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure for a battery that can protect the battery or the like even if a force is applied from the rear side of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A battery 20 is mounted to a rear floor panel 10, and a seat frame 30 is installed in such a way that the battery 20 is enclosed by the rear floor panel 10. An upper part 21 of the battery is fastened to the seat frame 30, a low front edge 22 of the battery 20 is fastened to the rear floor panel 10, and then a lower rear side edge 23 of the battery 20 is fixed to the rear floor panel in such a way that the battery 20 can be removed from the rear floor panel 10 by a force applied from a rear side. The lower rear side edge 23 of the battery 20 has a leg 23A having an opening 23B at its rear side, an engagement piece 11A is vertically mounted in such a position of the rear floor panel 10 as one where it may be corresponded to the leg 23A to enable the leg 23A to be disengaged from the engagement piece 11A. Upon the application of the force from the rear side, the lower rear edge 23 of the battery 20 is released from the rear floor panel 10, thus resulting in that the battery 20 relatively moves in a forward direction, and preventing a fuel tank 40 from being deformed.
