PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of effectively removing foreign matters mixed in the aggregate of glass chopped strands. SOLUTION: The method of removing the foreign matters 2 mixed in the aggregate of the glass chopped strands 1 includes: a diffusion step of diffusing the glass chopped strands 1 and foreign matters 2 in a plane shape; a release step of releasing in the air the glass chopped strands 1 and the foreign matters 2 diffused in the diffusion step; a color detection step of detecting colors of the glass chopped strands 1 and the foreign matters 2 that are released in the air in the release step; and a sorting step of sorting the glass chopped strands 1 and the foreign matters 2 by varying the falling track of the foreign matters 2 by air jetting on the basis of the detection result of the color detection step.
