PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating element movable mechanism for a massage machine, in which the treating element and a drive mechanism part for that are vertically movable in simple structure using wire, while securing reliability and safety of operation, achieving cost reduction, and improving calmness. SOLUTION: The drive mechanism part for the treating element is vertically movably disposed in a backrest part 93. The wire is wound around a drum disposed on the drive mechanism part, and an end part of the wire is held in the backrest part 93. While securing tension of the wire, the drum is rotated, and the winding state of the wire is varied to move the drum. The treating element integrated with the drum and the drive mechanism part for that are also moved. Weight of the treating element and the drive mechanism part is thus securely supported by the wire, while they are vertically movable smoothly. The support structure for the treating element and the drive mechanism part is thus simplified to reduce cost, and calmness is improved to prevent such noise as to prohibit a relaxing state produced by massaging.
