The invention relates to an electromechanical linear actuator, comprising an actuator housing (5) receiving at least two electrical drives (6A, 6B), each independently of each other setting an associated drive means of a spindle drive (10A, 10B) in rotation when actuated by a control device (2) and thereby bringing about a linear actuation motion of the associated spindle drive (10A, 10B), in order to induce a relative linear adjustment of a control rod (12), wherein the at least two electrical drives (6A, 6B) are located in the actuator housing (5) such that the relative adjustment can be generated by simultaneously actuating the at least two electrical drives (6A, 6B) and a sum of the actuation motions of the associated spindle drives (10A, 10B) or by actuating one single electrical drive (6A; 6B) and the actuation motion of the associated spindle drive (10A; 10B), wherein one brake each (13A, 13B) is further provided in the region of each of the at least two electrical drives (6A, 6B), said brake being specifically actuated by means of the control device (2) and thus preventing the actuation motion of the associated spindle drive (10A, 10B). |
