The drive i.e. rotary table (10), has a rotary plate (12) driven around a rotary axis by a motor (14). A bearing arrangement is provided for supporting the plate in housing (20) and a curve drum housing. A radial bearing co-acts with a radial bearing surface that is formed by an outer circumference surface of the plate. An axial bearing co-acts with a bearing surface of the rotary plate. Another axial bearing co-acts with another bearing surface of the plate. The bearing surfaces of the plate are arranged parallel to each other in a displaced manner in reference to the axis of the plate.
