The apparatus (1) has a blower and a housing (2) with an air guiding channel (3) and an air outlet port (4). A protection unit e.g. attachment (5), locking element (6), attachment mounting section (7), outer wall section (8), reinforcing rib and air focusing element (10), prevents passing of fluid towards components guiding flow into the interior of the housing by fluid jet, which is directed on the air outlet port. The air focusing element is provided at a region of the air outlet port. A cross-section of the locking element is larger than a cross-section of the air guiding channel.
