PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten defrosting time in an air conditioner while improving comfortableness of heating inside a room by defrosting and heating operation. SOLUTION: In the air conditioner, a freezing cycle is formed by connecting a compressor 75, a four-way valve 72, an indoor heat exchanger 33, a pressure reducing device 74, an outdoor heat exchanger 73, and a compressor suction pipe 710 one another with a refrigerant pipe, and the outdoor heat exchanger is divided into two heat exchangers, that is, outdoor heat exchangers 731 and 732, and a heating time inlet side of the outdoor heat exchangers 731 and 732 and a delivery side of the compressor are connected by a hot gas bypass circuit 715, and heating and defrosting operation is carried out. A heat storage type heat exchanger 719 and the compressor suction pipe are arranged in parallel in the suction side of the compressor, and during defrosting and heating operation, low temperature gas-liquid two phase refrigerant (compressor suction refrigerant) in which the low temperature gas refrigerant evaporated in the upper side heat exchanger 731 by heating in an indoor unit and the low temperature liquid refrigerant condensed by defrosting of the lower side heat exchanger 732 are mixed is guided to the heat storage type heat exchanger, and then, is returned to the compressor.
