The device has a light profile designed to be greater than a base area of a container (3) i.e. freight container, to be set-down or picked-up, where the device is arranged at a crane i.e. container bridge, over a loading area for an industrial truck in a suspended manner. Clearance height above a floor of the device is higher than height (12) of the industrial truck with the container. The device is arranged at a portal carrier (8) of the crane in a form-fit manner by a carrier (7). A signaling unit (14) is arranged at the crane or the device to indicate a vehicle position to a driver.
